At the Table

So much happens at a table. Welcoming love is offered. Strangers become friends. This is the essence of biblical hospitality. Jesus calls us friends in his grace and enables us to share that love with others. Whether or not we have the spiritual gift or a beautiful home, we're all called to "pursue hospitality" (Rom 12:13 CSB).
As we move forward as a church, coming together at the table is a primary way we can grow deeper and reach wider. This fall, our Wednesday night dinners will move to gathering once per month with an intentional focus on hospitality, toward one another and those outside the church. The same focus will extend to dinners hosted in the homes of TFC members.
Come this Wednesday night for dinner to enjoy music from our jazz band, and hear more about the vision for these dinners meeting both at church and in homes in the coming months. Dinner is $6 per plate (increased due to healthier offerings). First time guests eat free, so invite friends and neighbors to join us at the table.
Please email Mary Luyckx if you plan to come Wednesday.
If you are interested in hosting a dinner in your home, please email Cindy Pardue.
