Vision tree modified

OUR VISION

Like a tree planted by living water (Ps 1:3), so TFC will be a church whose roots grow ever deeper into the transforming love of Jesus Christ and whose branches reach ever wider to share the fruit of a growing life in Christ. In the next ten years, the reach of our branches will match the depth of our roots.

This is only possible if God moves in our hearts to shake us free from the constriction of complacency and self-focus, so that we may believe the gospel deeply and share it freely with those who are close, different, and difficult to reach. In prayerful dependence, we will seek intimate connection over isolation, surrender over suspicion, compassion over consumption, and reconciliation over individualism. We commit to risk over comfort.

As a tree defines its space, TFC will be an active, defining influence in our community. As a tree provides nourishment and shelter, we will be a church that welcomes all our neighbors, whatever their background or need. Jesus taught that a tree is known by its fruit and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Lk 6:44-45). May our hearts be so deeply rooted in the love of Jesus Christ that we bear eternal fruit for his kingdom and his glory.
