We began the season of Lent on Ash Wednesday, and throughout the season of Lent we will gather for a time of reflection and worship each Wednesday at 6:30. In the coming weeks we will be reflecting on the words of Jesus in Luke 4:18-19 (quoting and fulfilling Isaiah 61:1-2), "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor."
