MISSIONS WEEK 2010
March 3-7
Our TFC Missions Week will begin next Wednesday, March 3rd. This is an annual event in the life of our Body and an important one as we focus on mission efforts around the world, this year focusing on Africa.
Please consider taking part in one or all of the many events we have planned including:
MISSIONS WEEK SCHEDULE
Wednesday, March 3
6:00-7:30 am Women’s Bible Study with Cristina Thomas, Peru - A1
10:00-11:30 am Women’s Bible Study with Kristyn Bishop, Peru - A2
5:15-6:15 pm Church dinner with visiting missionaries ($3 per person) - Fellowship Hall
6:30-7:45 pm Celestin Musekura, ALARM, Youth Room
(Children's classes and activities will meet as regularly scheduled. Adult & Youth MInistry
classes will meet in Youth Room.)
Thursday, March 4
6:30-7:45 am Men’s Breakfast with Lucas Bishop, Peru - Fellowship Hall
Friday, March 5
6:30-8:30 pm African Film As We Forgive & Discussion with Celestin Musekura (for adults)
6:30-8:30 pm Children’s African-themed film (for children)
Saturday, March 6
9:00-11:00 am Women’s Breakfast with Bernadette Musekura - Fellowship Hall
7:00-9:00 pm Up Close & Personal - Dessert social with visiting missionaries - Home of Ron & Trish Turner
Sunday, March 7
9:30 & 11:00 am Worship Services - featuring Dr. Celestin Musekura
9:30 & 11:00 am Adult, Youth, & Children’s Sunday morning presentations featuring:
* Mision TEC (Peru), Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center
* Network Community Ministries Richardson
* Iglesia Biblica de Plano
12:30 pm All Church Fellowship Covered Dish Lunch
In addition to these scheduled events, we will have a visual feast for the eyes and senses throughout our Missions Week. A special exhibition of African portraits by Dallas based professional photographer Adam Fish will be featured in the Fellowship Hall, along with an African folk art mini display on the stage. We'll also showcase the photographs of TFC members and friends around the building and in the sancturay, taken from a first-time visitor's point of view while visiting Africa recently.
Our final event of the Week will be an actual feast during our Missions Week All Church Fellowship Covered Dish Lunch after the second service on Sunday, March 7th. We'll sample traditonal African food, in addition to any covered dish or dessert you'd like to bring. If you bring a dish that needs to be warmed, please bring it already warmed to the kitchen that Sunday and we'll keep it that way until time to be served.
One final note...due to the Missions Week emphasis this first Sunday of the month, our monthly Prayer With The Elders will be moved to the second Sunday of the month.
