Easter Triduum Begins Tonight – March 24

Our great celebration into the death, burial, and resurrection life of Jesus Christ begins tonight with the Triduum (a Latin word which means “three days”) encompassing Maundy Thursday (March 24), Good Friday (March 25), and Easter morning (March 27).

March 24, Maundy Thursday – 6 pm
What was it like for the disciples to share the intimacy of the table fellowship with Christ, listening to His instruction and watching His powerful expression of God’s sacrificial love? Our worship service this evening begins at 6 pm with a shared meal (Chick-Fil-A sandwich – free of charge) and devotion in Fellowship Hall, followed by a time of worship, foot washing (voluntary), and the Lord’s Table.*

March 25, Good Friday – 7:00 pm
The Triduum continues on Good Friday and the somberness of our Lord’s death is recalled. We remember the scandalous beating, mocking, and crucifixion of God’s incarnate Son.*

March 27, Easter Sunday – 9:30 am
But death is defeated in Christ’s resurrection! The somber mourning of death, including honest reflection on our own mortal weakness, is overcome by joyful celebration of resurrection life on Easter Sunday. The ancient Easter greeting proclaims the truth: “He is Risen, He is risen indeed!”
