Looking Forward to Lingering Together

LostArtofLingeringBook4epistleWe are blessed to have Rowland Forman, long-time friend of TFC and Executive Director of Living Stones Leadership Ministries in New Zealand, scheduled to join us in ministry for our church’s 38th anniversary celebration this fall. I mention it now so that you will mark your calendars for a unique ministry experience we are planning with Rowland in addition to speaking at the Sept. 28th worship service.

Rowland’s most recent book, The Lost of Art of Lingering: Mutual Mentoring for Life Transformation, is an incredibly insightful explanation and how-to on fostering intentional spiritual friendships as a necessary component of the Christian life. (You can order a copy of the book at the Living Stone’s website.)

Rowland will be leading a hands-on interactive seminar on Saturday morning Oct. 4th, 9 am until noon, covering topics like asking good questions, listening well, and how to take conversations and relationships to the next level. Rowland’s wisdom, years of experience, and shepherd’s sensitivity will be a great guide for anyone involved in a small group, leading a small group, or desiring to develop lasting and mutually enriching spiritual friendships. In addition, he will also be leading discussions on mentoring during the Sunday morning adult Connection Hour (11:15 am) on Sept. 28th and Oct. 5th.

Mark your calendars. And prayerfully consider who you might invite to come with you to this special gathering and to walk alongside you to share the real life of Jesus Christ together.
